Rights and provenance · revisions

Public Revision History.

This page records material changes to the public rights, provenance and public-use record. It distinguishes preparation from live publication so that a package-ready record is not mistaken for a deployed one.

Current state
Gate A live

The records below are live in the exact Gate A package. Deployment and independent live verification completed on 19 August 2026.

Publication dates
Actual live dates recorded

Gate A publication dates are recorded from the completed 19 August 2026 deployment and verification, not inferred from preparation commits.

Record IDs
Existing IDs only

Stable document IDs are shown where already established. Newer public records are identified by title and version rather than inventing an identifier.

Published Gate A revisions

Current public record changes.

Each entry identifies the old/new state, preparation/publication status, change summary, reason, supersession relationship, affected routes and change type.

Policy · rights-related / editorial / technical

Independence and Content Use Policy

  • Document ID: GWE-POL-001
  • Old state: substantive policy dated 1 July 2026
  • New state: Version 1.0 · Repository-Integrated Edition
  • Prepared: 19 August 2026
  • Live publication date: 19 August 2026
  • Change summary: added canonical/publication metadata, current Gate A website boundary and rights navigation while preserving the substantive July policy body.
  • Reason: integrate the existing policy with the Gameweek Explained rights architecture without silently rewriting its governing content.
  • Supersession relationship: publication-layer integration of the existing substantive policy; the July substantive content remains the underlying policy position.
  • Affected public route: /independence-and-content-use-policy.html

Public use · rights-related / factual

Public-Use Register Version 1.0

  • Document ID: no pre-existing durable ID; public title/version used
  • Old state: no public Gate A actual-use register
  • New state: Public-Use Register Version 1.0 published
  • Prepared: 19 August 2026
  • Live publication date: 19 August 2026
  • Change summary: separated the zero-third-party-visual forward Gameweek Explained website from the retained World Cup product's exact 48 flag and five AP image uses.
  • Reason: record actual admitted public surfaces rather than archive availability or future possibilities.
  • Supersession relationship: first prepared public actual-use register; no earlier public version is claimed.
  • Affected public routes: /rights/public-use/, /rights/public-use/gameweek-explained/, /rights/public-use/world-cup-watch/

Provenance · rights-related / factual / editorial

Premier League and FPL Visual Asset Provenance Record

  • Document ID: GWE-IP-PLFPL-PROV-001
  • Old version: Version 1.0 · authoritative forensic record prepared 26 July 2026
  • New version: Version 1.1 · Gate A Public Edition
  • Prepared: 19 August 2026
  • Live publication date: 19 August 2026
  • Change summary: preserved the 59-asset Version 1.0 findings and added canonical public routes, policy/public-use relationships, zero current forward-site use and separate Gate B video-use status.
  • Reason: make the existing forensic provenance record reviewable on the public rights surface without publishing the private archive or altering the underlying findings.
  • Supersession relationship: Version 1.1 is the public Gate A edition; Version 1.0 remains the underlying authoritative forensic source.
  • Affected public routes: /rights/provenance/, /rights/provenance/premier-league-fpl-visual-assets/

Evidence · rights-related / factual / technical

Sanitised Evidence Layer

  • Document ID: no pre-existing durable ID; public title/version used
  • Old state: no public Gate A machine-readable evidence annex set
  • New state: sanitised evidence index plus four machine-readable annexes published
  • Prepared: 19 August 2026
  • Live publication date: 19 August 2026
  • Change summary: added public-safe exact-package, visual-use, PL/FPL provenance and rights-contact verification summaries while excluding raw private evidence and sensitive material.
  • Reason: provide machine-readable traceability without publishing the raw archive, private correspondence, credentials, claimant data or confidential material.
  • Supersession relationship: first prepared public sanitised-evidence layer; the underlying rights/provenance/public-use/contact records remain controlling for their respective subjects.
  • Affected public routes: /rights/evidence/, /rights/evidence/gate-a-package-summary.json, /rights/evidence/gate-a-visual-use-annex.json, /rights/evidence/plfpl-provenance-summary.json, /rights/evidence/rights-contact-verification.json

Rights contact · operational / factual / rights-related

Dedicated Rights Contact Verification

  • Document ID: GWE-GATEA-RIGHTS-CONTACT-VER-001
  • Old state: dedicated address requirement recorded but public operational evidence not integrated
  • New state: rights@gameweekexplained.com send-and-receive verification integrated with dedicated public contact route
  • Prepared: 19 August 2026
  • Operational test date: 31 July 2026
  • Live publication date: 19 August 2026
  • Change summary: recorded a controlled outbound message from the dedicated address and an inbound reply to that address, with private mailbox details withheld from the public evidence annex.
  • Reason: satisfy the Gate A requirement for an operational rights contact and evidence of send/receive functionality.
  • Supersession relationship: resolves the previously pending Gate A rights-contact evidence requirement; does not imply Gate A completion.
  • Affected public routes: /rights/contact/, /rights/evidence/rights-contact-verification.json, /rights/, /independence-and-content-use-policy.html

Discovery metadata · technical / publication

Gate A robots and sitemap

  • Document ID: no pre-existing durable ID; public artifact names used
  • Old state: no canonical Gate A /robots.txt or /sitemap.xml in the exact package
  • New state: public discovery metadata published for the Gameweek Explained Gate A route set
  • Prepared: 19 August 2026
  • Live publication date: 19 August 2026
  • Change summary: added a permissive robots file pointing to the canonical sitemap and a sitemap enumerating the approved Gate A public routes.
  • Reason: satisfy Gate A public-discovery requirements without exposing the Episode 1 Gate B route, video-use register or development/review surfaces.
  • Supersession relationship: first prepared Gameweek Explained Gate A discovery metadata; no earlier canonical Gate A version is claimed.
  • Affected public routes: /robots.txt, /sitemap.xml

Gate A closure · publication / technical / editorial

Gate A Public Foundation Closure

  • Document ID: no separate public ID; closure is preserved by this revision entry; the formal internal certificate is issued only after closure-writeback live verification
  • Old state: exact Gate A package prepared; live deployment/verification and owner acceptance pending
  • New state: Gate A public foundation deployed, independently verified and owner accepted
  • Prepared: 19 August 2026
  • Live publication date: 19 August 2026
  • Change summary: replaced preparation-only publication metadata with the actual live state after exact deployment, negative-route verification, responsive browser audit and owner acceptance.
  • Reason: satisfy the Gate A publication and narration-truth acceptance conditions without implying Episode 1 release.
  • Supersession relationship: closes the Gate A preparation/pending states; Gate B remains a separate release gate.
  • Affected public routes: Gate A policy, rights, public-use, provenance, concerns/corrections, revisions and evidence surfaces.

Future revisions

Material changes should remain visible.

A later factual, editorial, technical or rights-related correction should add a new entry rather than silently rewriting the history. Where a public surface is restricted, removed or replaced after a concern, the affected route and reason should be recorded here when public disclosure is appropriate.

Gate A closure recorded. The public foundation was deployed and independently verified on 19 August 2026, and owner acceptance was recorded the same day. Gate B remains separate.
